Experience Ancient History

Walking the half-mile nature trail is like traveling through time. Your path will lead you from the modern day through the early excavations of the site, the Pattee era, and colonial period, until you reach the ancient site that is America's Stonehenge. When you reach the summit of Mystery Hill, you will be surrounded by a complex of megalithic structures, standing stones, artistic walls, and astronomical alignments - truly one of America's most fascinating ancient mysteries. Exploring the site will likely yield more questions than answers, but a chance to journey through the past and surround yourself with these ancient monuments is well worth it. As you return to the Visitor Center, you will have a better appreciation for this ancient landscape and the people who once lived here many generations ago.
