Camp Groups
Hands-on Kids Dig:
Starting June 17th through Labor Day, our Kid's Dig is open daily to small
groups and regular visitors. This activity allows students a hands-on
approach to archaeology. In the Kid's Dig, they will find a variety of
artifacts including pottery, shells, charcoal and polished stones. Students
are allowed to take up to three polished stones home with them. The Kid's Dig is
included with admission to the site, there is no additional fee for this
activity.
Alpacas:
Our alpacas are here year-round for your enjoyment. These friendly animals
love to greet our visitors.
WE ARE HAPPY TO OFFER DISCOUNTED
ADMISSION FOR SCOUTS, HOMESCHOOL, AND SUMMER CAMP GROUPS OF 20
OR MORE.
Upon arrival we will have children watch a ten minute informational video
to give them a brief history of the site. They will then be given
comprehensive tour guide maps to explain the features of the tour. A
scavenger hunt kids map is available online for the youngest of visitors.
We do not have these available in the visitors center. It may be printed
by
clicking here.
A picnic area is available for lunches. We suggest a bagged lunch, as our
snack bar consists of candy, chips, water, and soda. Plan on 2-3 hours to fit
in all activities.
